Collaboration

For the first half of 2016, we had the pleasure of working with Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service - Hong Kong, Tin Shui Wai Integrated Youth Service Centre in providing English language programmes to students from Chiu Yang Primary School of Hong Kong and Lions Clubs International Ho Tak Sum Primary School.  

The five-month programme proved very successful in improving grammar and phonics skills, and arousing the students' interest in English.  Despite the programme finally coming to an end in the middle of May, we remain confident that the students will keep learning English with the enthusiasm they demonstrated on the programme.

The students on the programme were respectful, well-disciplined, and industrious.  They showed a lot of promise and reason to be optimistic with their learning potential. Pre-tests and post-tests were conducted to ascertain whether there was any improvement in grammar and phonics and we can proudly say that over 90% showed an improvement. With what they have learnt from the programme, we are confident that they will perform better at school in the subject of English.  

Finally, we would like to express our thanks to ELCSS - HK TSW Integrated Youth Service Centre for giving us the opportunity to help them with their cause and believing in our ability to increase the English language standard of their students.
